Josette Massy-Forget
Originally destined for a scientific career — Josette Massy-Forget holds a master’s degree and completed doctoral coursework in that field — she seized an opportunity that led her into communications. In 1982, she decided to launch her own public relations (PR) firm.
Throughout her career, Josette Massy-Forget distinguished herself through the exceptional quality of her professional practice, applying to her work the principles of logic and rigor acquired through her scientific training. A pioneer as the first woman in Quebec to found a PR agency, she also stood out for the energy she devoted to securing a prominent place for women in the business world, while actively contributing to the advancement and recognition of public relations.
“We are deeply honored by this distinction awarded to our founder. Her passion, rigor, and commitment to delivering the highest quality service, while remaining attentive to best practices in public relations, continue to embody the values that drive us,” commented her daughter, Mylène Forget, President of Massy Forget Langlois Public Relations.
The Yocom Collection pays tribute to the memory of John H. (Jack) Yocom, one of the great builders of public relations in Canada, recognized both for his expertise in the field and for his generosity toward emerging professionals and colleagues.
