American diplomat Henry Kissinger is famous for having teased the Washington press corps with that line many years ago. If things were that simple, you wouldn’t need skilled people to help you to craft and to deliver your message.
More than 30 years of experience in communications is perhaps the simplest way to sum up Yvan’s resume. The journey began back in the Stone Age, when a teenager got a weekend job at a small FM radio station in Northern Ontario. His path then wound its way through journalism school, radio and television news, writing and editing, media skills training and public relations consulting, website design and content management, video production and voice overs. There have been stops along the way to co-write a cookbook, host a podcast and edit a magazine on trade with Africa.
Broadcasting destinations have included CBC TV and Radio, CTV Montreal, Global Television and TVA. Over the past 20-plus years, several hundred clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies in North America, the United States and in Europe, to SMEs, to non-profits, have benefitted from his media skills training and external communications consulting.
At the centre of it all is someone who is a stickler for efficiency and clarity.
Yvan holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa.
