Given the growing popularity of social media and other emerging digital platforms, it can be easy to neglect traditional media. That said, these avenues remain and will remain some of the best ways to reach your audience.
André Fortin has spent the majority of his 30-plus years in the field working for top communications agencies, where he tirelessly safeguarded the reputation of his clients. This includes a dozen years at an agency specializing in agribusiness and nutrition. He has led national public relations campaigns for major brands and prestigious organizations, advising upper management teams on their communications strategy.
Most recently, he served as Senior Advisor, External Relations at Éco Entreprises Québec, a non-profit organization that represents companies that introduce containers, packaging and printed materials into the Québec market and helps them meet the requirements for financing efficient and effective municipal selective collection services. There, he developed an expertise in the environmental sector, especially in sustainable development and circular economies.
André is a self-described news junkie who started his career in a television newsroom before making the switch to consulting. Over the years, he has mastered the ins and outs of news media and knows exactly what makes a major story that has the potential to spread, thus supporting his clients’ objectives.
Throughout his career, he has served on the board of directors for a number of non-profit organizations, mainly in the healthcare and cultural industries. For the past five years, he has volunteered with L’Arsenal à musique.
André holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Toronto’s York University.
